Meet Trojan Founder Jeff O'Mealy

I've been working with metal and wood all my life. As a kid, I built go-carts and tree houses, and as an adult, I've built boats and remodeled homes. I founded Trojan Manufacturing in 1987 at a time when contractors had become frustrated with the cheap and poorly made products flooding the American market place from overseas. I designed and manufactured the first really rugged, collapsible sawhorse legs. They were strong, sturdy and durable enough to hold up under professional conditions. The popularity and demand for that first sawhorse was so encouraging that we got to work on other products that tackled the problems contractors face every day.

While our first concern was building tough, quality tools, we also felt it was important to make products that were easy to transport. That portability and our time saving designs have become the hallmark of Trojan Manufacturing.
